DESCRIPTION:
This position is ideal for someone who thrives in managing multiple projects and has direct experience in the world of digital marketing, social media, and communications. We are looking for someone to sustain and grow our events, our online community, and to help assist in PR-related tasks. The ideal candidate has previous social media experience handling multiple accounts. This is a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about new media and all things #. The candidate will be hired as an independent contractor, and work on a part-time basis consistently for up to 15 hours a week.
You would work with us each day from 11am-2pm on Monday-Friday in SE Portland.

DUTIES + RESPONSIBILITIES:
Social Media:
– Day-to-day social media content creation
– Source photos quotes, videos and relevant content from the web
– Strategize and manage social media activity using tools like Buffer

– Monitor interactions within our social media community and engage with followers
Associated PR-related tasks:
– Occasionally create press releases & distribute to online media channels including bloggers & print news

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
