We sell forest technology and services.  

I would like a story that is both personal (to the culture and interests of our reserved, conservative audience) , light and funny that can combine with the showing of our forest Technology Solutions.   My goal is to weave the story into demonstrations of our modern forestry Technology Solutions.  I don't just want to show the latest Shiny Toy, I want to have a story that resonates with the culture and interest of my target audience.  We don't hard sell, we just try to demonstrate the value that our tools can provide to our industry.  Our industry is conservative and tends to delay in adopting new things. The first thing they ask when looking at something new is what is it going to cost. However, once these people use the new technology in tools they won't let go of it and they see the value in it.  These are very practical and pragmatic people, and some ways like Farmers. They need to see the value on something before they purchase it.

Most people that got into forestry to be in the woods and be outdoors, not to be in front of a computer or even work with technology.  However, not taking advantage of current technology capabilities is hurting our industry in keeping pace with information and analytics demands that exist in today's business world. Not having an innovation strategy is a real problem for many companies because they don't recognize ahead of time what they need to change or how they can gain new efficiencies in their business. Furthermore, they are not prepared to make technology decisions such as evaluating their options and what makes sense for their long-term needs.
