Work closely with Senior Editorial Director to define and drive editorial strategy and initiatives.

Support Senior Editorial Director to plan and meet product and business goals.

Help execute day-to-day editorial operations.

Along with Senior Editorial Director, manage Senior and Assistant Editors as well as freelance staff (designer, editors, bloggers).

Manage site editorial calendar and ensure publication of fresh, timely content that appeals to our consumer base of parents.

Edit and oversee writing of copy, including blogs, articles and book lists from editorial staff, bloggers and freelance writers.

Ideate editorial content based on seasonal and relevant themes.
-
Source and manage freelance editorial contributors.
-
Oversee the creation of monthly newsletters, working closely with email marketing team.
-
Understand and track key site and business drivers and use that data to inform site content development and promotional strategy.

Work with technical team on necessary site improvements.
-
Oversee creation, management and coordination of business units’ promotions.
-
Onboard contractors and review legal documents and contracts; liaise with legal department.
-
Stay abreast of competitive marketplace, influencers and trends.
-
Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree in related fields a plus.
-
8+ years experience in managing online editorial for a robust web site or initiative.
-
Demonstrated editorial management skills, of both staff and freelancers.
-
Strong understanding of technical side of editorial tasks; familiarity with CMS tools and standards.

Highly organized with a meticulous attention to detail.
-
Excellent, demonstrated editorial skills – writing, editing, creative concepting.
-
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Highly creative; experience with video production a plus.

Experience with site migration and rebranding strategy.

Strong analytical skills.
