Summary:
The Technical Writing team is responsible for compiling data, organizing and clarifying the Extraction Process End to End. The ideal candidate will be translating complex Data Extraction Processes into high level, legible format. The Technical Writer should be able to work in a fast-paced environment on multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting project deadlines.
Duties Include:
- Interview SME (Subject Matter Experts) regarding expectations and input to the documentation
- Control the interview process in fast-paced environment with conflicting priorities
- Document processes that are specific to the company
- Will be responsible for a large repository of information
- Research, prepare and edit complex technical documentation related to internal processes, systems, and user guides
- Ensures these documents meet the business and customer specifications, while adhering to standards for quality, graphics, format, and style
- Interfaces with the management and subject matter experts to gather information and pertinent data for an assigned project or business initiative
- Participates in the publishing and formatting of documentation for various media and platforms
- Maintains current knowledge of the relevant technical subject area as assigned
- Participates as a member of the project team
- Tracks project documentation through creation, approval, publication, and update lifecycle
- Seated in Fort Lauderdale/Sunrise location, with frequent trips to the Miami/Doral location as needed to meet with SMEs
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 – 5 years of experience
- Experience with documenting Standard Operating Procedures and Run Books
- Very motivated; Not afraid of getting involved; Leadership mentality, as it pertains to prioritizing and pushing for information
- Expert in Microsoft Word (including design and layout functionality) and Visio
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and other document editing software
- Strong attention to detail
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences
- Skilled at prioritization and multi-tasking
Must be proficient in:

Bowhead is seeking a Technical Writer to prepare, format, proofread, edit, and organize test plans and reports, while ensuring style, format, order, clarity, conciseness, accuracy, and terminology, per the government’s approved conventions or per unique, specific direction from the customer.
Essential functions will include:
• Use and modify various Microsoft Word templates, which include multiple types of form fields and content controls.
• Use populated, internal-use forms and templates to prepare/edit draft test plans and reports and assign test documentation numbers and assist in the maintenance of test documentation logs
