Technical Writer
Description:
- Produce high-quality documentation, including system application manuals and user quick reference materials.
- Participate in, and potentially facilitating, meetings to help capture notes/requirements to document changes to current processes/procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to explain complex information in a clear and concise manner.
- Ability to work collaboratively with both technical and non-technical resources to successfully complete assignments.
- Previous experience in banking and AML is a plus.
- Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the changes needed and document the requirements.
- Attend meetings a capture notes to then organize in a readable and understandable manner.
- Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures, manuals and quick reference guides.
- Produce high quality documentation in a variety of formats to meet applicable standards and is appropriate for its intended audience.
- Analyze existing documents, where applicable, to maintain continuity of style and content.
- Manage updates and revisions to technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of technical writing experience.
- Proven experience working in a technical writing position.
- Able to write in explanatory and procedural styles for multiple audiences.
- Basic familiarity with the SDLC and software development

Technical Writer
Location: Greenville, SC
Duration: 6+ months
Extension Possible: Yes
Work Location: Must live in market and able to come to the office several times a week. (Some remote to be discussed with manager)
SUMMARY:
Policy to be rewritten into standard format and platform (Sharepoint), facilitating discussion to explain the process. Explaining to how to maintain the new policy. Quick reference guide (QRG ) . Must be able to write to attain compliance by the regulatory, audit team.
MUST HAVE:
1.) Tech writing 5yrs*+
2.) SharePoint 5yrs*
3.) Communication skills written and verbal
4.) Large organization 3yrs*

Requirements:
• Possess technical writing skills to create or modify RCS procedures, Exam Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ensure processes, policies and procedures are designed in compliance with Risk Appetite.
• Ensure ongoing compliance with internal / external audit and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, motivate and develop relationships with the business, stakeholders, and technology partners to develop productive working relationships
• Organizational awareness, resourcefulness and demonstrated relationship building and communication skills – understanding of whom to engage in order to identify solutions and resolve issues. Good understanding of what issues to escalate, and what to resolve on your own
• Strong analytical and program solving skills are required to interpret data and draw conclusions
• • Strong interpersonal and influence skills to enable change without direct control
• Ability to prepare and present findings and recommendations in a methodical manner
• Skilled in time management and driving tasks to completion
• Prioritize and manage own workload, and possibly the workload of others, in order to deliver quality results and meet pre-determined timelines
• Works autonomously and accountable for acting as a lead within a specialized business management function and may provide work direction to others.
