Content must include images for reviews to represent their ideas on daily/weekly basics (7 candidates).

Report Writer
The temporary (1 year) Report Writer works closely with the technical and community colleges as well as the TBR Central Office to develop, implement, maintain, enhance, and support of data marts, business intelligence, dashboard creation, and reporting initiatives. This includes the initiation and research of project studies for requirements/needs, development of reports, extracts, dashboards, and other business requirements. The Report Writer uses the data blocks created by the database administrators for extracting and developing reports.
Responsibilities:
Plan, schedule, and develop required extracts, reports, dashboards, alerts, forms, tables, web pages, and other assoicate objects used for information sharing; responsible for the quality and integrity of data presented; develop graphs, reports, and presentations of project results; design and create e-forms and web-based tools; ability to provide urgent ad hoc reports.
Creates dashboards, alerts and feasibility studies/evaluations and prepares project plans to implement approved; develops custom reports based on requirements from a requester, gathering requirements and creating the reports; makes recommendations for improvement of reporting in order to improve efficiency and improve service; translates requirments into designs and specifications to develop on-line screens, reports and processes to meet project needs; maintains ongoing communication with users and customer service protocols through periodic status reports, system previews and testing; analyzes problems and trend data to recommend, develop and implement permanent solutions and support strategies to conform to service level agreement (SLA) objectives.
Analyze reporting requirements and develop effective solutions using Ellucian”s Banner administrative software suite, Argos, and other appropriate software; coordinate with database administrators on data and system access based on reporting needs; follows current coding protocols and exepected code systems documentation; translates the business & reporting requirements into functional requirements.
Develop/maintain data marts, respond to service requests in their use, etc.; maintains documentation as a permanent record maximizing maintainability of systems; follows current protocols for documentation; updates related systems documentation for currency and complete integration; designs, develops and implements processes that provide efficient and effective solutions.
Work closely with functional end users and fellow staff members to identify and provide possible solutions to problems confronting end users of data marts, Argos, and Banner; provide service desk support for the various internal and external customers; identify and propose technical alternatives to solving client requests and system problems, and recommend the best alternative by weighing client requirements, functionality, performance, time to implement, long-term maintainability and customer self-sufficiency.
Assists with researching and providing recommendations for reporting standards; assist in the development of procedures related to systems and reporting; research and stay abreast of changes in data reporting technology developing proposed strategies on how to implement and leverage the new and changing technology.
Assist with the preparation of training materials for projects being developed with regards to reporting; training customers on the use of Argos repoting tools and the underlying administrative data is also expected.
