Technical Writer III
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Technical Writer III with our client in the SEO industry in their Sunnyvale, CA location. This is a 6 month + contract position.
Description:
- Seeking a Technical Writer III
Responsibilities:
- Define Structure, write & edit the technical documentation working with partner engineers and partner managers
- Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
- Design and define structure of the Getting Started technical assets (e.g. by product, by sector/domain)
- Write & edit the technical documentation working with partner engineers and partner managers
- Get assets ready for publishing to the partner portals working with product & partner marketing
Requirements:
- BA/BS degree in Technical Writing, English, Journalism, Computer Science, or a related field (or 4 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree)
- Experience planning, researching, writing, and editing high-quality technical documents or course materials
- Ability to navigate a complex technical landscape and interact with multiple partner engineers and partner managers to assemble documentation
- Ability to read and understand source code written in C++, Python or Java
- Desired Skills:
- Independence and initiative (e.g. curious, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity)
- Ability to learn quickly (e.g. provide deeply technical and process-oriented documentation “on-demand”)
- Assertive and comfortable taking risks (e.g. rewrite docs vs. waiting for requests to rewrite)
- Experience defining the overall structure of a documentation set
- Able to work as a W2 employee of Genesis10 (no Corp-to-Corp)

Description:
The Proposal Writer is responsible for supporting International Software Systems, Inc. (ISSI)’s business development organization for the full proposal lifecycle. Responsibilities include working closely with the proposal writing Team to develop bid strategies, themes and discriminators with the ability to integrate technical solutions into a compelling winningproposal. The ideal candidate should possess the initiative, organization skills, dedication, attention to detail, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
Location: ISSI headquarters- Greenbelt, MD
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for writing/leading proposal sections as assigned and ensuring compliance with all Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements
- Researches and gathers technical information for use in proposal development activities.
- Reviews, analyzes, and interprets technical requirements provided in RFIs and RFPs (including PWS) to gain a thorough understanding of the objectives of each solicitation.
- Supports the interview process of in- house Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to address solicitation requirements.
- Assists and integrates themes, discriminators and key success factors for responses
- Develops and creates graphics (images, charts, diagrams)
- Integrates other writers’ work products, ensuring proposal compliance and uniformity
- Ensures that all RFP format specifications have been followed and all proposal deadlines met
Qualifications:
- Bachelor”s Degree or equivalentin English, Marketing, Communication or related field.
- Experience with IT environment and federal government procurement preferred.
- Excellent communication skills with writing and editing experience
- Requires excellent organization skills and extreme attention to detail
- Ability to articulate concepts and processes in writing
- Ability to effectively research subject matter
- Experience working in a collaborative environment; ability to work well under tight deadlines and effectively interact with a wide range of personnel
- Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office.
