Candidates will be responsible for the following:
Working with other documentation team members on document standards, processes, and content
Editing current documentation so that existing instructional materials stay up to date with new software releases
Creating new documentation for company software that informs and instructs the user so that they fully understand the software
Required Skills:
Familiarity with documentation architecture and tools such as DITA, Oxygen, and git
Bachelor’s Degree
5-7+ years background in technical writing

Project Overview:
As the AR and VR UX Writer, you”d play a vital role in building out a new medium for computing and entertainment. Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) are rapidly evolving as important new areas in personal computing and content creation. The team is a fast-moving group of designers, engineers, PMs and research scientists. We are tasked with building the foundations for immersive computing, developing best-in-class VR and AR apps, crafting new hardware, and prototyping novel and delightful user experiences.
You”ll work on first-party & third-party applications across AR & VR experiences to help establish connective language and a unified voice. You regularly use empathy, logic and hard data to inform content choices, and are an expert in your product. You provide content recommendations that include the right words and sometimes complementary data and images.
As a stellar writer, you have a portfolio of work that demonstrates content that simplifies and beautifies the overall user experience.
Top 3 Daily Responsibilities:
Write clear, concise user-interface text for products
Act as a subject matter expert (a company “go to”) for user experience writing
Collaborate with designers, researchers, prototypers, product managers, and engineers to define requirements. Manage projects and stakeholders.
Overall Responsibilities:
Drive a vision for product content across all product content for a given domain
Develop concepts for early stage products
Provide data-informed insights to improve existing experiences
Help coordinate translations, improve writing tools and processes, format documents, and generally lend a hand as needed to produce world-class software and hardware products
Required Skills:
BA/BS degree in any field of study or 8 years of equivalent practical experience
4 years of experience in UX, technical or marketing writing, product documentation or online publishing
Superb writing, editing, and project management skills
Strong interest in both VR and AR
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment

### WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
The ideal copywriter will be someone who has excellent English writing skills and is excited to write high-quality, SEO-optimized content on behalf of our clients.
Our client base ranges from professional service providers, such as lawyers and wellness centers to fashion and automotive retailers to tech start-ups. Therefore, we need someone who is very adept at research and has the ability to quickly produce professional copy on a variety of subjects.
The ideal candidate for this position is a talented writer with at least 1-2 years of professional, non-academic experience, who understands how to create SEO content and has a strong familiarity with online marketing. The candidate would also need to be responsible, self-motivated, and well-organized.
Throughout the contract, we will correspond on a weekly basis regarding all of your writing assignments via email. The expected workload will range between 1 to 20 (250 – 2000 words) articles to be written each week. We anticipate that the articles will take an hour to research and write. We will pay $7 – $20 per page depending on copy quality and final word counts on the 1st and 15th of each month, upon review and approval of your work.
