The Global Content Team, part of HR Service Innovation (HRSI), is responsible for helping HR partners create and deliver impactful content to employees across multiple platforms.

Federal Proposal Writer
Overview
The successful candidate for the Proposal Writer position will be responsible for writing and editing support throughout the entire proposal lifecycle in response to federal and commercial Request for Proposals (RFPs), often under tight deadlines. The successful candidate must be familiar with Federal proposal processes, from capture management, through proposal writing, editing and production. This position is located at our corporate office in Fairfax, VA.
Tasks & Responsibilities
· Ability to write compelling, concise and grammatically correct proposals, including input to management approaches, technical approaches, past performances, price volumes, etc.
· Edits and rewrites text to leverage existing boilerplate and/or proposal materials in formulating new proposal responses
· Creates and maintains a proposal library – both hard copy and electronic.

Technical Writer
Our team is building out a content management system (CMS) used to author and render websites for Microsoft. We are in need of a Technical Writer to organize, identify and edit documentation. Some documentation exists and simply requires editing and consistency applied. Other cases engagement with feature owners is needed to gather and document.
This will include three different areas of documentation:
– Marketing: sells the features, value and how to of the system to new users. Some related market examples include wix.com and wordpress.com
– Operational: how to use all of the features, permissions, SLAs, etc…
– Development: how to develop modules used in websites supported by the CMS
Responsibilities:
Researches, designs, develops and writes technical information online or in print for a variety of audiences and purposes. Produces documentation that complies with documentation plan requirements. Obtains technical information from project developers, program managers, product managers, testers and product support personnel; converts specific feedback into documentation. Responds to editorial and reviewer feedback. Produces a significant portion of a complex documentation set (i.e. reference guides, online help, user guides, UI text) that complies with documentation plan requirements. Develops and tests complex user scenarios that show how to use the product being documented. Works effectively with program management, product marketing, and other internal Microsoft customers as needed. May instruct others in writing styles (e.g. reference guides, user guides, solutions books, online). May write portions of documentation plan and may help implement documentation plan.
Qualifications:
