RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Tech Writer in Monterey Park, California (CA).

Essential Duties:

• Collaborate and collect information from business users and developers for use in creating clear, concise business requirements and system specification documentation for both new and existing systems
• Create and update documentation including system workflows, logical processes, operating system environments and interfaces with other systems
• Conduct research on applications through observation, research and discussions with technical specialists
• Organize and write supporting documents for in-scope applications
• Develop and maintain documentation describing business requirements, development, logic, coding, testing, changes and corrections, and revise documents as new issues arise
• Submit copies to technical lead for feedback; deliver high quality documentation in short timeframes
• Work with internal teams to obtain an in-depth understanding of the applications and required support documentation (Design, System Specification and Business Requirements, etc.)

REQUIREMENTS:

• BA or BS in English or Journalism, with other formal training in Information Technology, and Computer Science
• At least five years of experience in technical writing about software technologies, with basic knowledge of RSA / Archer configuration management
• Proven editing and communication skills, including significant knowledge and experience using VISIO and other desktop publishing applications
• Ability to quickly grasp complex technical concepts and make them easily understandable in text and pictures, and skills in systems analysis and design, workflow or procedural analysis

• Open the building and parking lot in the morning and close both in the evenings.
• Maintains safe and secure environment by following safety and security standards and procedures; complying with codes.

This position will support the Servicing and Production Operations business segments and will be responsible for creating new procedures or updating existing operating procedures in response to business, regulatory or investor changes.
The technical writer will collaborate with business line management and subject matter experts (SMEs) to create technical procedure documentation based on established or newly developed processes that promote efficient and effective operations within the business line and meet compliance needs.

Vitality Biopharma, Inc. is a biotechnology and drug development company, and we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a part-time medical writer.  The individual will be located in Los Angeles and will interact with clinical researchers and company scientific collaborators spread across the U.S. and Canada.

We are seeking a part-time medical writer with extensive life sciences experience and who has a strong interest and aptitude for both creative and technical writing.  The main focus of the position will be on development of clinical trial protocols, regulatory documentation, grant proposals, and scientific manuscripts. The medical writer will play a key role interacting with our interdisciplinary team of researchers, which includes physicians, drug discovery scientists, toxicologists, and statisticians.  

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Write and edit clinical trial protocols, regulatory documentation, scientific manuscripts, technical presentations, study summaries, grant proposals, development plans, and more
• Interact and coordinate with company collaborators or advisers to help develop and revise related documentation

REQUIREMENTS:

• Preferably an advanced degree in the life sciences (RN, PhD, PharmD, MD, MS)
• Ability and comfort assimilating knowledge directly from scientific publications and across multiple fields
• Ability and comfort working directly with senior management and the company’s scientific collaborators
• Knowledge of required practices for peer-reviewed scientific publications
• Ability to create and edit basic graphics and illustrations
