The successful applicant will be responsible for creating technical documents and manuals,
explain complex information in a clear and concise manner and working with Solution Architects/developers to ensure accuracy of product descriptions.

Technical Writer responsibilities
Plan, develop, organize, write and edit operational procedures and manuals
Research, develop and document technical design specifications and test scripts
Produce electronic documentation in addition to hard copy manuals
Maintain a comprehensive library of technical terminology and documentation
Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
Manage updates and revisions to technical literature
Track record working with open source projects.
Proven track record building development and/or operations documentation.
Excellent writing skills.
Ability to craft graphic documentation (technical diagrams), both in conventional (word/PowerPoint/pdf) form as well as online.
Self-starter, self-managed, proven track record in capturing complex technical output from developers and converting it to useful (for other developers) content.
Capable of creating a new documentation system from scratch, including indexing, search, etc., making recommendations about any software systems needed.
Most work will be done out of the Seattle office

Requirements for the Writer
• Must have Bachelors Degree preferably in Engineering
• Must have minimum of 5+ years in infrastructure or related industry such as construction, electrical, transportation or management consulting; project management, business development / RFP coordination; experience in government contracts; knowledge of transportation infrastructure preferred
• Must have technical skills and knowledge of the RFP and RFQ process; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; excellent communication (verbal, written, interpersonal), analytical and presentation skills; high levels of commercial and business acumen. PMNP certification preferred. Knowledge in in-design SW is a plus
