Hello – thanks for checking out this job.

We're looking for someone who can help us knock out some product descriptions on our website. We sell ammunition on the web so ideally, you'll be familiar with firearms and the basics of ammunition. The more in-depth you can get, the better.

Ideally, each description will be 200-250 words long. We're not sticklers for depth but if there is a lot to say about one product, we'd just assume cover it. Others may not be as exciting and there's no need to waste space with text.

If you have a personality, that's great too and we'd welcome it. Most of our customers are serious shooters so more than anything, you need to have the ability to quickly research given products and then write about them in a way that will get people the info they need and equip them to make a purchasing decision.

We'd like to start somebody for an hour or two and give them a feel for the work. From there, we'll come up with a per description rate and hopefully have a nice working relationship for at least several months. We have thousands of these to do.

If you are passionate about writing, comfortable with interviewing people, and interested in topics like public speaking and entrepreneurship, then this role is for you.

Here's the situation…

I'm a life coach for entrepreneurs and an entrepreneur myself. I work with people from all around the world to help them deliver the best possible talk.  

I am putting together a book on public speaking, and need a person who will:
1) Interview/hear me talk for 30 minutes on a specific topic, and then
2) Write a high-quality 800-word article based on the interview in my voice and style (ghostwriting)

You don’t have to be an expert on public speaking — you can research on the job and ask me questions during the interview.

The idea is to create a book afterwards, so there will be a series of these interviews and articles. We will either bulk these sessions to have the articles ready as soon as possible, or we will do them on a weekly basis.

It’s around 500 words (I need 800 words per article), but is well-structured and easy to read/parse.
