Ghostwriter for Military Sci-Fi (LGBT) – First 1-3 chapters – Upwork
I've written a Sci-Fi novel titled Perceptesis that is 130,000 words long. I'm not hiring any one to edit this entire thing as I've already done that. I'm not wanting to submit this to publishers, but before I do so, I'd like someone but to spruce up the first one to four chapters. See attached.
I did get some feedback from four Ink and Insights reviewers that really ranged in feedback from liking it well and suggesting several tweaks, to one reviewer who thought the first chapter needed lots of work. I think several people thought I should make the mission of the Main Character clear in the first three chapters to help with reader's question "Why should I care about this?", and while I agree to a point, the entire agenda of the book becomes clearer as you go.
I can give more helpful feedback, but for now, I'm wanting the first chapter to be smoother and take out any confusing action scenes, and it'd be nice if the reader could like Gavin a bit more.
I know this can get really expensive so that's why I said, ghostwrite or edit one chapter, maybe two, and maybe four.
Chapter One – Word Count = 2800
Chapter Two – Word Count = 4000
Chapter Three – Word Count = 3000
Chapter Four – Word Count = 2300
Lastly, I do have two published books including Wehr Wolff Castle and a YA coming out in Oct 2018. Wehr Wolff Castle did win best paranormal fiction and was a finalist in horror for the 2018 Next Generation Book Awards.

Tech Writers?? – Wanting to create creative website Content advertising our services. – Upwork
I'm running a computer repair business in Australia. I'm after a creative writer to write some content. You don't necessarily have to be literate in computers but it does help. For example, I will ask you to create content for the keyword computer repairs ipswich or Laptop repairs Ipswich or Mac Repairs Ipswich. You will research what are on other people's home page and create new content for me. This is an ongoing role hence the lower rate. The people that I have working for me, have worked for me for several years. Ideally if you have wordpress experience to publish or change the text on the home page that is great but not essential.

Write an extensive blog post on the history and evolution of bicycle and motorcycle locks and emergence of "deterrent" locks – Upwork
We'd like someone to write about the history and evolution of bicycle and motorcycle locking technology, from the emergence of the U lock (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bicycle_lock, https://www.historicallocks.com/en/site/h/other-locks/bike-locks/locks-for-bicycles/) to general historical insights (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lock_(security_device)). The purpose of this article is to emphasize that locking technology has not seen a major innovation until now with the creation of the "deterrent" lock, the first lock that is designed to do more than simply be a strong metal beam. First there were locks designed to notify that they were being tampered (https://www.citylab.com/life/2015/03/this-bluetooth-enabled-u-lock-shrieks-at-bike-thieves/387544/) but since 2016, new deterrent locks were designed to fight back against thieves and cause actual physical discomfort for being tampered, similar to dye packs used by banks that sprayed ink (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dye_pack). The point of the article is to be informative and ultimately show that deterrent locks are a superior technology to other locks, please see this (https://medium.com/@DanielIdzkowski/5-things-bike-lock-companies-dont-want-you-to-know-766c1a017c35)
This lock was the first self-contained U-lock from 1974(https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qn6UdATFKcU) and started the U lock movement, and since then, very few innovations were made. Some locks began adding technology into their locks since about 2012, but this failed to impact the industry as the emergence of "smartlocks" was followed by an increase of bike theft globally.
Deliverable should be at least 1200 words and provide sources for each claim, with as much data as possible.
Budget: $40
