Location: Redmond, WA
Duration: Long Term, 18 Months
We have an opening for a technical writer for the creation and publication of content describing the security updates that the company releases each month.
A successful candidate will perform the following:
- Compile client Security vulnerability information in conformance with any standards, guidelines and/or specifications which will be provided.
- Have a working knowledge of Security vulnerabilities (e.g. Remote Code Execution, Elevation of Privilege, Denial of Service, Spoofing, Security Feature Bypass, etc.)
- Maintain operations documentation that support the creation of such content.
- Assist in managing and scheduling the delivery of content
- Draft, edit, proof, publish, and revise content from client repositories which are reviewed by release partners and peer writers
- Document and improve standard operating procedures that pertain to the creation of the content
- Monitor and escalate issues or risks that arise throughout the project to the Security Release PMs
- Maintain logs that control the status of the content
A successful candidate will possess the following skills
- Ability to learn and understand how data from disparate systems throughout the company can be used to describe the security updates
- Ability to validate large data sets to make sure that the highest quality exists before release
- Ability to maintain focus in the midst of tight schedules
- Good communication skills
